Sustainable integration of architecture and landscape as part of island development

Pantai Mutiara is conceived as an island destination for the people of Jakarta. It is a flagship development which will set a precedent in Jakarta and stimulate the economic growth of the neighbourhood by establishing a landmark quality urban destination consisting of retail, food and beverage, marina, office, hotels, service apartments, residential, and an enhanced public realm.

The development captures the essence of an island by maximizing building relationships with the sea both
physically and visually. It also sets new precedents by providing a continuous public waterfront promenade around the entire island. The connectivity of the landscape aids in creating a pedestrian friendly, sustainable and healthy environment as well as to establish a strong habitat and on-site storm water management.

The master plan is a flexible framework plan with a robust sustainability framework that seamlessly integrates architecture and landscape and brings together the best values and principles of urban design.
